Making Candy With Little Panda Is Messier Than You Think

My kid grabbed my phone and disappeared for twenty minutes. When I found her, she'd turned the kitchen counter into a sticky disaster zone — virtually, anyway. Little Panda's Candy Shop is exactly what it sounds like: you run a candy store, make sweets, and serve customers. But BabyBus has packed more into this than I expected.

You start by picking a recipe. There's lollipops, chocolate bars, cake pops, and a few others. Each one has its own steps. For lollipops, you boil sugar, add color, pour it into molds, then wait for it to harden. For chocolate, you melt it, mix in toppings like sprinkles or nuts, and cool it. The game doesn't rush you. You can take your time stirring, pour too much, or mess up the order — and it still works out. That's the point. It's not about perfection. It's about the process.

Once the candy's made, customers show up. They're little animals — a bear, a cat, a rabbit — each with a specific order. You wrap the candy, hand it over, and they react. Some clap. Some jump. One bunny just stared at me until I realized I'd given it the wrong flavor. The animations are simple but charming. No text boxes. No instructions. Everything's visual. If a customer's happy, you earn coins. Spend those on new ingredients or decorations for your shop.

What surprised me is how much the game teaches without feeling like a lesson. You're following steps in order, measuring (roughly), waiting for things to cool, and cleaning up spills. It's basic kitchen logic wrapped in bright colors and silly animal faces. My daughter learned that you can't rush melting chocolate. That's a real thing. She also learned that if you ignore a customer, they walk away. That's also a real thing.

If you've got a kid under 8 who likes pretend play or cooking shows, this is a solid pick. It's free with ads, but they're not aggressive. One tip: let them figure out the recipes themselves. The game doesn't punish mistakes, and watching them discover that blue syrup plus yellow syrup makes green is half the fun.
