My kid actually sits still for this one

I’ve tried a dozen coloring apps, and most of them last about four minutes before my four-year-old gets bored and starts swiping through YouTube. Fantasy Coloring Book & Games is different. It’s not just a coloring page with a bucket tool—it’s a full little world of drawing, puzzles, and mini-games that actually keeps her engaged for a solid twenty minutes. That’s a win in my book.

The coloring part is solid. There are over a hundred pages with everything from unicorns to dinosaurs to princess castles. The lines are thick and forgiving, which matters for little hands that still overshoot. You can use crayons, markers, or glitter effects, and the app doesn’t punish mistakes—there’s no wrong way to color here. My daughter loves the sparkly brushes. I love that she’s practicing fine motor control without realizing it.

What surprised me was the extra stuff. There’s a simple puzzle mode where you drag pieces into place, and a few memory games with cute animal cards. They’re not deep, but they break up the coloring time nicely. The app also includes tracing activities for letters and numbers, which feels sneaky-educational in the best way. It’s all very low-pressure, no timers, no scores. Just tapping and dragging at your own pace.

The interface is clean enough for a kid to navigate alone. Big buttons, clear icons, and the voice prompts are in a cheerful but not grating tone. No ads pop up during play, which is a huge relief—I’ve had apps where a full-screen ad for some freemium game appears right when my kid is concentrating. Not here. The in-app purchases exist (some extra packs of pages and brushes), but the free content is generous. You can easily play for weeks without hitting a paywall.

If your child is between three and seven, and you want something that mixes creativity with a little brain work, this is a solid pick. One tip: turn off the background music in the settings menu. It gets repetitive fast. But the app itself? It does exactly what it promises—a fun, healthy way to learn and create. No hype needed.
